WPC Fence Installation: 2 aspects

Before starting WPC fence installation, let’s introduce WPC first.

You need to add a widget, row, or prebuilt layout before you'll see anything here. 🙂

Wood-plastic Composites Description

Wood-plastic, that is, wood-plastic composites (WPC), is a new type of composite material  that has flourished in recent years. It involves replacing the usual resin binders with polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyvinyl chloride and mixing more than 35%-70% of waste plant fibers such as wood flour, rice husk, and straw to form a new wood-based material, which is then molded by extrusion. WPS fence installation is also easy to do.

PE wood-plastic materials have excellent waterproof and corrosion resistance, high hardness, easy-to-change shape and flexure by heat, but the use of thickened or porous hollow structures is effective. Both PVC and PE WPC fence can be easily installed as well

Please take note of the following text: These installation guidelines will guide you through the process of installing HOSUNG products. While HOSUNG recommends these installation methods, they may only cover some installation scenarios. Each installation has unique performance needs, so it’s up to the installer to choose the best way to install it. For peace of mind, we recommend that a licensed architect, engineer, or local building official review all designs before installation.

Before Installation

  1. Make sure the ground is clear and prepared along the proposed fence line.
  2. Never use HOSUNG WPC fencingWood Plastic Composite fencing as a gravel board or a structural product.
  3. Always bolt the bases to firm foundations. Do not bury them into the ground.
  4. Please don’t bury the bottom of the fence.
  5. A minimum gap of 30mm must be allowed for drainage at the bottom of each fence panel. Gravel can be used to hide the gap.
  6. Do not fix posts to hollow bases such as breeze blocks.
  7. To prepare for installing a fence, walk where the wall will be located to check for any obstacles or obstructions. Then, use stakes and string to outline the fence line and mark the locations for any gates. To lay out the fence, measure the length of the fence line and create a drawing that includes the gate locations. Since standard fence sections may not perfectly align with the layout, you must decide on a spacing method to accommodate the actual dimensions. You can cut each fence section to the same width for equal spacing or install the sections as they are supplied and cut one section to fit any remaining space in each layout segment.
  8. Getting Materials Ready: To calculate the amount of HOSUNG fence material needed, first divide the length of the segment by the width of a standard section of fence and round up to the nearest whole number. When determining the amount of fencing required, adding approximately 10% to the total is suggested to account for waste.
  9. Expansion and Contraction HOSUNG fencing planks will expand and contract with changes in temperature. This is most noticeable in areas with extreme temperature changes. The change in length is most significant during the installation process and should be considered when working in extreme temperatures. To ensure you are fully prepared for this, if you cut your planks during a hot afternoon, let them sit outside overnight in the cool air, and then install them the next morning, you will notice some amount of Contraction. To minimize this issue, it’s best to fasten your planks after cutting them as soon as possible.
